This is my nth attempt at blogging and I still do not know how far my renewed enthu will take me into this endeavour. Well, this time I am into inspired blogging, i.e., am inspired by all those people who are blogging around me… Amir Khan, Sekhar Kapur and my next door neighbours in IIT B. But more than the stars and superstars, it’s the people closer at home who inspire me into blogging, part of the reasons are the same “Js” — “he/she owns a blog, why can’t I?” and the other part relates to this idea: “got to document my feelings/experiences somewhere, lest I actually become famous and have no time to hire a biographer
:)”. These are sources which need both citation and acknowledgement. Well, then here I am! But interestingly, these days I am frankly more intent on desgining and aesthetic building of my blog than any serious content writing. Anyways, who cares for what I write! There is so much better masala to be read from the Internet that poor atmas like me are left wordless in wordpress
.
Hey! That reminds me! How d y like the name Iris? Any guesses as to what it means? Hmmm…of course u guessed right! It is the name of a flower (remember Van Gogh’s famous painting “Irises”?) But it is also the name of a Greek Goddess…the Rainbow Goddess spreading colours all through the rain dappled skies…

Hmm Iris also means the colored part that filters and controls light in the eye. So Iris can also be called “filter” and the “eye” can be comapred to the mind for the mind alone visualizes. So “Iris” refines information and allows selected stuff to enter the mind. Keeps the mind pure and a pure mind is a necessity for miracles !

Thank you Surya for that amazing interpretation of “Iris” …. Yes, I was aware that Iris meant the core of the eye…something which is called “Putli” in Hindi and it has a significant purpose. But you have given a beautiful dimension to that purpose. Thanks once again
